2022 has been an incredibly successful year for Patner Construction. We connected with new clients and had the honor of continuing relationships with returning clients. We’ve broken ground and completed many unique and exciting projects, both locally in the DC area and out West in Denver, Colorado! Some highlights from this quarter include:
Venture X Mosaic
Patner is thrilled to begin our first project with Venture X to buildout high-quality flexible workspaces. We are excited to be working with Whitsitt Architecture to complete this extensive project which includes building new interior partitions, glass demountable partitions, doors, ceilings and finishes. In addition, we will upgrade safety measures in the space by adding in and relocating fire alarms and sprinklers. Unique features on this project are the high-end finishes and the installation of secure spaces throughout. Our team is eager to help bring Venture X’s mission to the local area and benefit several small business owners with the workspace!
U.S. Embassy in Madrid
The Patner team is thrilled to announce our latest international project for the U.S. Embassy in Madrid, Spain! We are honored to be partnering with the U.S. Department of State on this Compound Security Upgrade. The scope of work involves the renovation of six existing buildings to improve their technical and physical security. Construction will be taking place in a fully occupied and functioning facility. The Patner Team will be breaking ground on this high priority project in early 2023!
Chase Sapphire Lounge / IAD Concourse A
Patner is excited to be back at Dulles Airport (IAD) for another high-end airport lounge project! The Patner team is transforming the existing Etihad Lounge into a two level Chase Sapphire Lounge. The facility will include a bar lounge, an office area, kitchen, concierge area, family room and bathrooms. Patner specializes in high-end lounge facilities as well as working in active airports, so we understand the challenges and come prepared with creative solutions. Patner had previously renovated that space for Etihad, so it is an incredibly unique experience to be able to come back and be part of the transition to the Chase Sapphire Lounge!
GU New South OSEI
The Patner team is thrilled to be working with long-time client, Georgetown University, for their Office of Student Equity & Inclusion (OSEI)! OSEI uses academic and social support to bring together the important topics of equity, socio-economic status and racial/ethnic identity on campus. The project consists of architectural demolition, replacing 10,000SF of slab on grade and a full tenant fit-out for the office. With several unique challenges involving the slab on grade, Patner is working closely with Cannon Design and A+F Engineer to find creative solutions to any obstacles that may arise during the construction process.

GU West Road Stabilization Project
The West Road Stabilization project at Georgetown University is complete! Thank you to the entire team involved for the success of this high priority and time sensitive project. The impressive results will benefit the entire Georgetown community as well as the surrounding DC area!

Annual PM Dinner
Once a year, Patner’s Project Management Team gets together for a night of celebrating the successes and lessons learned from the year prior. Teamwork, insight and growth are a few words to describe this year’s theme dinner at Randy’s Prime Seafood & Steaks in Tyson’s Corner, VA. The team enjoyed the special occasion with camaraderie and an excellent multi-course meal!
November Potluck
The Patner team celebrated Thanksgiving together with a potluck for all employees and their families! Everyone enjoyed the quality time spent with good company and a nice meal.
The Patner Promise: Food for Others Thanksgiving Food Drive
Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful and pay it forward. The Patner team continued to build on the company mission of philanthropy by holding a food drive in support of Food for Others in Fairfax, VA for the month of November! Patner Coat Drive
No one should go without a coat this winter. We are hosting our first annual coat drive to collect lightly used coats of all sizes and new gloves, hats, mittens and scarves for those in need. All donations are sent to Cornerstones, a nonprofit organization that strives to provide support and advocacy for those in need of food, shelter, childcare and other human services. Cornerstones has partnered with the Hunter Mill District Supervisor’s Office to distribute the donations to the local community. Donations will be accepted through January 13th at the Patner office!
